Job Description

The FAA Security Officer position at the FAA post is responsible for providing security and to safeguard FAA employees, facilities, Government property and assets from loss, theft, damage, unauthorized use, criminal acts, espionage, sabotage and terrorism.

FAA Security Officers may conduct visitor and vehicle control and screening, monitor and respond to facility cameras and alarms from intrusion detection systems, perform magnetometer and X-Ray screening, and other duties as outlined in the Statement of Work. Must possess a good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.  

Education Requirements (Any)

High school diploma or equivalent

Certification Requirements (All)

CPR/AED
Active Suitability
Hand Cuffs
OC Spray
DCJS Armed
MEB (Monadnock Expandable Baton) Plus Handcuffing Certification
