The Digital Operations & Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for implementing and delivering Cybersecurity services as part of the development of Elliott Davis’ overall Digital Services practice. This role supports Specialty Group Leaders, Office Leaders, and Shareholders across the entire firm by delivering quality Cybersecurity services directly to existing and new clients. The Digital Operations & Cybersecurity Manager demonstrates a solid understanding of cyber defensive architecture and technologies required to protect, detect, and respond to cyber threats and attacks. Technologies include SIEM, vulnerability management and discovery, infrastructure (firewall, IPS/IDS, proxy, network capture), host-based security, penetration testing/external assessment tools, forensics, etc. Cloud security knowledge and certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to mitigate cybersecurity risks and threats
  • Develop documented security architectures detailing secure, defendable configurations of systems, applications, and processes relevant to client business needs
  • Identify and assess cybersecurity risk and make sound risk decisions and recommendations
  • Perform internal and external vulnerability assessments
  • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks
  • Collaborate with Specialty Group Leaders, Office Leaders, and Shareholders across the entire firm to identify ways cybersecurity can be best positioned to help our clients
  • Communicate status of projects and deliverables to internal and external clients timely and accurately
  • Establish relationships with key security product and service suppliers
  • Deliver services with excellence. Manage work to completion.
  • Become a recognized security leader in the region through speaking engagements, industry publications, or local media campaigns
  • Support business development efforts as requested by the Practice Leader
  • Participate in team problem-solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development, as requested
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients
  • Other duties as assigned with the scope of the practice
     

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or related discipline) preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Information Technology and Security Services or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • CISSP certification preferred
  • Previous experience in a lead technical role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner
  • Ability to be flexible and creative to secure revenue growth opportunities
  • Excellent presentation skills to all levels within an organization including the board level. Able to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Broad understanding and experience of information security methodologies, best practices, and industry standards
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to take full ownership of client deadlines and needs, including working necessary hours to meet client deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
