We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Harbour Compliance Officer to join our small team based in Picton. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and compliance of maritime activities within Picton, the region’s major port, to a second smaller port in Havelock. Additionally providing regional oversight and management for the approximate 1,800kms of coastline. You will assist Council in fulfilling its statutory obligations under the Maritime Transport Act (MTA) 1994, the Marlborough Environment Plan (MEP), and maritime-related resource consents.

While demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to be effective in addressing matters of maritime safety in a public forum, on a boat, at the boat ramp, or on the wharf.
